Tiger 650 Amal Carb 930??

Hey guys, Im building a OIF 72 Tiger 650, Should a Amal 930 Carb be ok? My real concern is I dont have a 930 slide. I got a 923 and some other ones. Does anyone know what the best carb set up is? its bored 40 over and everything else is stock... Thanks Alot! And thanks for plewskys Boyer Setup Video it kept me out of the mad house

Hi Flatrabbit
that 930 is fine,
as for the slide it should be a nice fit down the hole and have a 3.1/2 cutaway,
230main, 106 needlejet, Std needle, middle notch.
Glad the boyer vid kept you out the mad house ,
If it hadn't I might of seen ya!
ps my slides Have 928 stamped underneath,
I'm sure some one will clarify what this number means.

'928' is an Amal concentric model (28mm ... a 930 is 30mm, etc) ... all 900 series Amals use the same slides. The bore size difference is in the intake bore, not the slide bore. In other words, all 900 series concentrics use '928' slides ...
