1973 Triumph Trident Question

I am not sure if this is where I should post this or not.

I am considering buying 73 Trident. The bike currently has 2380 miles on it and is in mint condition.

Can I please get some advice on roughly what this bike is worth. I want to get some knowledge before going into the deal blind.

Thanks

If titled, and running as good as the apparent "mint" condition, may be worth anywhere from $5,000.00 - $7,500.00.

Samsh426,

Well welcome to the forum, second if you do not buy this bike
I shall hate you for all of time. I want a trident so bad, but you
know no money.

It should start by the third kick, if not something is wrong and needs
to be looked into. A great bargaining chip if the owner can not
get it running.

All and all a lovely machine, best of all you found one with none of
the missing bits if it is truely in mint condition.

Welcome Sam! We need some more Trident riders here! Sounds like a great bike. I'm sorry it is in such good shape. You won't be able to commiserate and advise me on getting mine running.

i to have a soft spot for the triumph trident....back in the early 1980s i had 2 mates with tridents,,one had a t150 and the other had a t160.the t150 was a nice bike to ride lots of power and a smooth ride,,,,,the t160 was more agressive to ride ...it had more get up and go and had the sporty road racer bars ,,handled great .at the time i had a 1967 bsa thunder bolt, and had no chance to keep up with them ....in time the t160 got a norman hide 1000 cc kit ,that sucker was a jap bike killer,,, my other mates rideing harlys had no chance of keeping up to the t160 with all the go fast goodies in her guts ,,,,that was one fun bike to ride back in the day..albert the tip rat

I've got a 73 T150V, a 75 T160V and a 69 BSA Rocket 3. Always loved the triples. I would think you should be able to buy a real good Trident for 4-5000 dollars. Lately there have been quite a few on E-bay

I bought a 73 trident last winter for $2000. I dropped $4000 on it with Tri spark ignition, pistons, bearings, rings, valves, fork seals sprockets ,seat, cables, seals, podtronics charging, chain, valve guides, and many nuts and bolts. If I sell it I'd be lucky to break even. It has 12k miles. It's not a show bike, it's a rider. The 4k is for parts only. Parts are readily available in us, canada, and the UK.
