1970 Bonneville rear hub bearings

I want to replace the bearings in my rear hub. I have the factory parts manual and workshop manual but I am stuck. On the speedo side the is a retainer that is threaded. I need to now if it is right or left thread and the best way to loosen it . Here are pics of what I am looking at

I'm almost certain it's a RH thread, as this retainer drives the speedo gearbox, and would undo if LH thread. In almost all cases where it can be stamped, LH threads are so marked. RR

pretty sure that it is - my T140E's was.

If it's difficult use a hot air gun to expand the metal. Mine needed about 20 mins of heat using a 2Kw gun moved all around the area.
