Carb setting

I have triumph trophy 1970,that I acquired recently like 3 month ago
the bike came with a new amal 930 30mm,last morning the bike damage one spark it is like that the carb runing too rich in fuel. I find that the pilot air adjusting screw it only a guarter turn out and I read that the adjustment is one turn and a half out. Now I adjusting this screew just to three guarter turn out because if i turn out one and a half turn the bike go off though I open more the elbow.It is working well but I do not see how did she do it because i do not see again the spark plugs,,Hope understand sory for my english.Learn

Welcome to the forum. As far as you English goes, not the worst
I have read. Just leave a space between thoughts. That would
help out a bit.

Thank you quagmire, I do not even have one of these but I
tend to poke around the web trying to learn things. I have a
long list of bookmarks for all kinds of stuff.

Anyway it is no longer needed to memorize all that kind of
information, you just have to be able to reference it quickly.
