What's your favorite gear

Ok, one of those silly but fun questions:

What gear do you find to be the most fun on your Triumph when riding it?

For me, I'd have to say 3rd gear. 3rd gear seems to have a pretty nice long torquey pull to it. 4th gear is fun too. Especially when you go to pass someone, twist the throttle, hear the carb open up and the bike really starts to roar. But in third I'm still "getting up to the speed limit officer" not breaking it, so it's allowed.

1st gear on my bike is pretty tall with the the 18T Gearbox sprocket they put in the C models. And 2nd gear gets wound up pretty quick too - besides, on my bike 2nd pops out during hard acceleration from time to time and that'll mess ya up.

So, what gear do you look forward to putting it in when you go out for a ride (suspecting some V model owner will chip in with 5th -even though it's kinda the same as 4th - just because they can).

What's your favorite gear?

I forgot to downshift the other day. When the light turned green, I let the cluch out and had to slip it a little. But I took off in 3rd gear. That was pretty cool.

Old Triumphs & Nortons - 3rd

Old Kawasakis & Hondas - 3rd

New bikes - 3rd.

Come to think of it, I guess 3rd gear covers it!

3 is good. I like 1st however, as it makes starting a bike ride really easy. Starting in 2nd is the ****s.

nuh, second on a tight winding road (so i dont have to rely on the brakes going downhill) mostly cause it sounds awesome echoing off the rock walls!

I like the short straights and tight bends so its 2nd and 3rd for me, that 2nd gear exhaust burble when you change down, and that induction roar as you power on into 3rd, love it!

When I saw the topic heading, I thought you were asking what piece of gear, e.g. type of helmet, jacket, boots, etc., that we like the most. Silly me, I just like running my bikes up through all the gears.
