72 tr6r "still" not quite right
Hi all I still can't get my tr6 to rev above 3500 revs despite all the previous efforts the latest waste of cash was new needle & jet new float jet and a new air screw still no difference, but at least I'm building up my spares collection...I just read a thread about a bonnie running rich it was mentioned that the time it took for the carbs to tickle up was 1sec on one carb and 4-5 secs on the other,it has just taken 11secs for the tr6 carb to flood.Could this be the problem and if so what's the cure?
kind regards,
Bill.

Open the float bowl drain plug and turn on the fuel; it should flow out pretty briskly, a cupful in about a minute.
If you don't have a bowl drain plug, take the float bowl off and run the same test.
Sounds like low fuel flow, and you'll need to investigate why.

float hight
Hi Ming,
have a look here, about 4 minutes into the first one.
You cannot bent the tang's on the floats, you have to adjust the seats.
