no spark

i have a 73 tiger triumph 750 that when i bought it stared fine but it sat for a few years. Now that i have the money to work on it i can no longer get a spark i have tested as much of the electrical as i know how every thing seems fine but still no spark.

Points, electronic ignition, or other?

How is the battery? how about the spark plugs? A fully charged (tested good) battery and new plugs are the first step in eliminating hardware problems, AFTER checking all the wiring connections and grounding wires.
