My dad gave me his 1959 Triumph 650. The number T120 is on the engine. Everything I am finding says that T120 is a Bonneville. Where I am getting lost is that all of the bikes I find have twin carbs and my bike only has one. Dad also said there was a high and low compression engine and this one is the low comp. Does any of this sound right?do I really have?
from everything ive heard the T designation refers to the (sometimes optimistic) top speed capabilities... i.e., yer T120 could go 120mph. Im not certain how the models went that far back, but Im pretty sure you could find the same T number in more than one model line.
Hi, if you let me know your vin & eng numbers I can tell you if it is a 1959 and when your bike was made.
