0.80 bored motor -- too high?

This bloke is selling a 68 Bonnie and said its motor is ".80 over".
Ive never seen a figure this high. Is this high? Does it leave any room for further bores?

Im waiting for him to call me but wanted to get your opinions as a bargaining tool.

Thanks again!
Kevin

Wow, nearly an inch bigger. How much horse power did he gain with that? (Just razzin ya.)

Actually .80 thou is actually 8 ten-thousanths right?
Could do that with sandpaper.

Beemie, look at the numbers in the top post. That one just says .80 over which is 8/10 of an inch. That'd take a lot of sandpaper. Cheers.

jimmy, that would take 10 times more elbow than sandpaper!

Thanks for all the responses.
guy just sold it!
I must have been just minutes late since i saw the advert just 2 hours after it first posted to Craigs List.

Oh well, this is good info for next time and a good bargaining point too. Im guessing a .8 (.08 I guess he meant) over bore must have a lot of miles or one or two major blow ups to require maximum bore job(s).

Cheers, Kevin
