Heres Mine

These shots were taken in 1968, my 68 Bonnie.
I bought this bike new, it cost $AU1003.00, a lot of money in those days.
I got into a lot of trouble on this bike, speeding and racing the Police, proves that at 18 years of age the brain is not fully matured. I ended up in jail after being shot at by Police in a high speed chase where I unknowingly turned into a dead end street and got knocked off the bike, the girl on the pillion was not too happy, never saw her again,,,wonder why!!! I got out of the can and hotted the bike up so it was faster and fitted a switch where I could isolate the brake light as this gave the persuing Police a heads up when I was braking to turn, worked a treat, the ammount of cop cars and bikes that overshot the corner was remarkable.
Later I got a few brains and sold the bike before I ended up in Boot Hill

Last pic is a 69 Bonnie I restored in 2004.

Ha- ha good story,

We had one of those on my wife's 2002 BMW for some unauthorized runs for Columbia's finest, back in the day!

Love it!! Here in San Francisco, there's a lot of foot bridges cars can't fit through-the perfect escape from the filth! No more of that now, evasion is a felony as of a few years ago.

Love them first pics, interesting to see the lipped rear guard and reversed colour scheme on the guards.

Yep, only the first batch of 68 Bonnies into Perth, Western Australia came with reversed colours, all others were the normal silver fenders with hi fi scarlet stripe.
I rode the bike to Melbourne and no one there had seen anything like my bike, they had the US spec with the small tank.
