RS Paints have a web paint matching sytem to year and model and they say its Dark Regal Purple / Cold White .

To be honest I would not call it a 'dark' purple but hey ho.

May need some purple paint myself as toying with painting an export tank and fitting with western bars . I really like the colour but some don't.
Don't know who painted my bike but it seems pretty close to 74 brochure colour, also some early 70s Tridents were same shade -

Thats the wrong purple color that they offer... Not original color.
The only shop that has the exact color is Don Hutchingson's in Wakefield MA.
Their mechanics work I do not trust, but the paint guy that he is using has the color down to perfect match. for most OIF bikes...

Always think these 1970s Triumph Spitfire cars are a similar shade , they were made at same time in same area , but its always hard to tell till you see them side by side . May be another option to explore though .

You`re right, the only things that give a clue is the front disc brake and the R/H gear change.
Even so, nice job.

My 1972 T120RV. Hoping for another "almost-no-snow" winter.
