1st in line!!!

1999
Sprint ST
955cc
2bros exhuast
stock seat with a seat cowl
2006 rear wheel, black front wheel
no accessories
The story:

Well lets start the story off with I bought my baby 1999 Sprint ST 955 in the summer of 08 and promptly laid her down 5 feet into owning her. I had never ridden a bike before so I guess it was expected.

I rode her for about 2 months until I made a huge mistake in a corner at about 70mph and laid her down again where she had a nice face to face with a fire hydrant. To say the least she was all but totaled. Being that I'm a glutton for punishment I decided I wanted to rebuild her. It took a ton of help from everyone on the Sprint forum specifically Decosse and OnD who lent a ton of time helping me get back on the road.

About a month after the wreck she was back on the road as a street fighter but I couldn't stand the look. Working on a tip from Decosse I was able to get a steal of a deal on a set of used fairings that needed some work; and with the help of my Dad we laid on a fresh new coat of "Oh So Sexy Red" PPG paint with white with Ivory pearl accents. She looks so sexy in the sun now.

So whats in the bike now -
2006 front end (forks and triple tree)
2006 rear wheel
2bros high mount exhaust
Power Bronze double bubble windscreen
Bunch of other crap I don't remember

Also I re-flipped the eccentric to the stock position after these pics were taken for much better handling and ride height. I think I got an inch or so.

Here are the pics, enjoy and vote for me!!!!

Sprints are up now, eh? Well, she ain't as pretty as Redskeeter's ride, but maybe I'll just put my bike up this time around...

I bought this bike in October of '07 with about 15,000 miles on it. I just rolled over 40k today; it's been from NYC to Austin twice and back once, done 2 SaddleSore 1000s, and has been my all-weather commuter and grocery getter from the get-go.

Shortly after the first Texas trip, a piece of metal came bouncing down the road and tore a hole in my sump. I had the motor replaced with a salvage unit from an ST with 17k fewer miles. Early this Summer, while doing the 36k service, I think I finally finished fixing everything the joker who did the swap screwed up.

On the way home from part 2 of the 36k service, I failed to see a curb and essentially totaled the bike. Fortunately, I already had a Suzuki male-slider front end lying around waiting for some down time, so the resurrection was relatively painless. I couldn't help picking up the Trident pipe while my bank account was flush with insurance money...

Sooo... Here's a list of what I've done to this poor, defenseless bike since it fell into my hands:

-Added centerstand.
-Windshield replaced with stock after wreck.
-Mirrors same.
-Forks, fender, and triple clamps replaced with parts from Suzuki TL1000S.
-Fork and shock springs replaced with heavier units to match my weight.
-Front wheel replaced with stock after wreck.
-Front calipers and master cylinder replaced with ZZR600 units. (Tokico 6-pot calipers)
-Levers replaced with Pazzo shorties.
-Bars replaced with Woodcraft "High-rise" clip-ons. (Approx. net height 0".)
-Adaptiv TPX radar detector on steering tube mount.
-Garmin 2720 on RAM clutch perch mount.
-Motor replaced at 24k miles with motor from 7k Sprint ST.
-18 tooth front sprocket for get up & go down low.
-Clutch cable replaced with straight-through Yamaha cable.
-Pro-grip carbon-look tank protector.
-Triumph hugger.
-Triumph axle nut covers.
-Penske rear shock.
-Trident stubby carbon fiber can.
-SW-Motech racks with Givi E41 panniers.

So pretty without the saddlebags...

The cockpit, showing just how high the high-rise clip-ons aren't:

With the bags, which is really the only way it gets ridden:

Cheers,
-Kit

Well she does not have a custom paint job or a new motor, but she insisted on being shown anyway. She thinks she is the original Sprint ST TL fork swap.

2006

1050 cc

Modified stock seat
Polished wheels with repainted centers

Accessories:

There are several accessories I will mention, but two are highly noticeable. The Trident exhaust with polished tips always gets attention, as well as the polished rims. I opted to use gloss back for the wheel centers for maximum contrast. The stock pewter colored centers did not do the rims justice, whereas the gloss black makes them pop.

The next items that should be noticeable are the forks, top clamp, fender, front calipers, ConvertiBars, and the sliders. The fork swap was courtesy of DEcosse's brain work and my sweat. Thanks, Ken.

The current top clamp is a Cycle Cat. It replaced the TL clamp with CF cover that I had on her after the swap. It is sitting on a shelf waiting for me to offer it. I guess this is where I should mention the pre-load adjusters. They were originally anodized gold to match the gold stem nut after the fork swap. They looked out of place so I stripped the gold to bare aluminum and clear coated them.

The fender is a CF Coerce. Nothing much to say about it other than it looks proper for this bike and provides a nice contrast to highlight the gold six pot calipers. Nothing much to say about the ConvertiBars either except to say that they do as advertised

Now, when it comes to the sliders, there is a lot I could say. Their design and fabrication were done concurrently. That is another way of saying there was a lot of trials with twice as many errors along the way. I originally had a set of LSLs on her, but was never comfortable with their mounting method. My home brew set sort of copies the R&G concept but places the slider in the optimum position for max fairing protection.

Other mods to her that are not as noticeable include:
Hidden Escort radar detector with a Helmet Assisted Radar Detection (H.A.R.D.) module. Panel mounted LED indicator switch was installed to power the Escort
Headlight modulator.
Acumen PD8 programmable shift light.
DataTool gear indicator.
Kraton diamond pattern grips.
NEP cruise control.
ClearAlternative LED integrated tail/turnsignal light.
Lockhart Phillips tag frame with integrated LED turn signals.
Hypr-Lite LED brake lights.
OnD tail tidy mod.
Zumo
Autocom.
SAI block off plates.
OnD air filter mod.
OnD modified air plenum.
18t sprocket.
Slots cut into the sprocket and chain covers to match the lower chain guard.
Heads-Up LED Voltage Monitor.
FH012AA Rectifier Regultor. She might have been the first?
DEcosse charge system mod.
The obligatory Pazzos. The adjuster tabs were originally colored, but I stripped them at the same time as I did the pre-load adjusters to match.
Solid aluminum dip stick. Probably the only ST with such.
Aluminum mesh in tail fairing vents.
Lowered via the eccentric flip to include a shortened side stand. The center stand was also shortened but has since been removed.
Helmet lock with billet bracket.
Honda rear view mirrors. The stems were also reversed and flipped. That, along with spacers gave the best view.
Bar end LED turn signals since the mirrors do not have signals in them. I have tried several other front turn signal configurations, but have settled on these...I think.
Solid aluminum fairing 'swoosh'.

There have been other mod/accessories that were flops and subsequently removed. They are sitting on my shelf of shame. My home brew radiator cover is presently removed but will be reinstalled after some revisions.

She was sexy when I first met her, and she still raises my pulse every time we get together. Without complaining, she has made up for my failings on the track, and has been willing to do 1000 mile days. I'm a lucky man.

Here is my 2001 Sprint ST that I purchased a few months ago. I am the third owner and the previous owner lived over 1000 miles away, I did a fly and ride to pick up my new bike. With only 11,000 on her and some long phone calls to the previous owner she is now in the stable. So my first ride was 1,134 mile to get her home.

Previous owner installed,
Zero Gravity wind screen
Two Brothers exhausts
Pazzo levers
And a lot of anodized bits not installed.

I have installed the anodized bits and added anodized body fasteners and plan to add some more anodized fasteners as I go.
Gen-Mar risers
Lowering pegs
GPS
Blue stainless brake lines
And not pictured Blue Brake fluid. Soon will be painted wheels and swing arm and various other parts.

Some where about half way home.

Trigger

Introducing "Trigger", my 1998 Trophy 900.

No major mechanical modifications as I believe the Trophy is fairly well-sorted for my needs.

However...

Corbin (lowered) seat
Hayabusa 6-pot front calipers
stripped & powder-coated rims
Oxford heated grips
Scottoiler

The matching top-box was purchased from eBay-US and still worked out cheaper than buying one from the local Triumph dealer!

I have owned Trigger for three years now and cannot see me ever selling him on. He may be joined by a Rocket III later this year, but that is yet to be confirmed.

The other end of the spectrum

Wow, some nice machines on this list! I’m not sure if mine qualifies, but I have done some light touring with my raw Sprint ST. The longest day in the saddle was just above the 600 mile mark, and yup, I walked like a cowboy for a day afterwards!

The bike started off life fully–faired and at the 650 mile mark was dumped by the owner (a new rider) and subsequently garaged for 7 years. I bought it from him cheap, changed the oil at his place, removed a mouse nest from the air box, wrapped some new tires on the rims and she’s been running like a champ since!

Some of my changes to the bike:
The headlight, fly-screen, footpegs, and hand guards are from various Buell bikes. The passenger footpeg brackets are early RS ones (higher than the ST pieces), gauge housing is a Speed Triple unit. Otherwise I gave her the usual Sprint upgrades: 18T sprocket, stiffer front springs, hugger, heated grips, late model calipers (with non-sticking pistons), suzuki master cylinder, lighter and louder exhaust, comfortable seat etc.

It’s been a lot of fun to ride and wrench...

My '93 Trident

I've owned it from new, just coming up to 50,000 miles, standard apart from Micron cans and a Hagon rear suspension unit. It sounds ace, like a Spitfire on a low pass

Look at that lovely flat torque-curve.
