I think these are the best looking fared bikes out
Only had its 2 1/2 months and managed to blow the engine already
if given a choice of a brand new bike or one of these. these will win hands down.

250kg of Racing Yellow goodness.....103,000Kms

Front End rebuilt with RaceTech Gold Valves, upgraded srpring, and Busa 6 pot Calipers, forks rechromed.

Stg1 DynoJet Kit, and a Custom made straight through exhaust, don't need no stinking baffles

Eagle Screens, tinted hi-lip screen.

Soon as I can squirl away a few hundred bucks, the rear shock will be replaced. probably with a Hagon.

Don't want to reply without repeating the pics - ST3V0, but I too am a huge fan of the earlier, more curvaceous 955 Daytonas. Especially in that "scorched" yellow. Beautiful machine!

/not taking away from other bikes...just sayin'

edit - please elaborate "blow" the engine. What happened? That motor is a beast of burden.

Hey Speed3,

My big problem with the Speed Triple is having cocktails in the garage. Each time I do that, I'm sitting there thinking, "is that Jezebel actually looking at me?"

Then I have to force myself inside. I've seen all the variations of the Speed Triple, and they're all staring...imploring a ride. Bitch goddess.

Year: 2001
Model: Daytona 955i
Eng size: 955
Pipes: Jardine Carbon
Seat: Original seat, cowl currently installed
Wheels: original rims painted black, Metzeler M1 tyres - considering M3īs 190/55
Accessories: Remapped injection, KN air filter, BTriumph tank protector, black fairing fasteners from Pro Bolt (rear ones still to come), frame protector, new fairing thermal protection, and others.
And the story:
This originally is a blue Daytona, but its previous owner decided to paint it in the 2002īs Centennial Edition paint scheme (decals from side fairing from Centennial model, from rear fairing are from 01īs to remember that itīs 01 bike and sports a Triumphīs 100 years silver decal just above the rear light). Otherwise the bike looks almost like brand new (factory stickers still on the windshield) and is about to spot 17000 km on the dials - around 500km in my hands, as my first ride took place only 3 weeks ago.
Future improvements shall come, new tyres and other ride-helping and maintenance items first, maybe some carbon parts, new rear shock in the mid future.

All pictures are in the garage and some of them without the radiator cover, sorry about that - all time available so far spent on riding rather than taking pics

Custom Daytona/Speed Triple

This from what originated as an 885cc 1998 Speed Triple T509:
Only the frame, swing-arm & plastics and headlights are remaining original equipment of the bike.

In order to integrate the 2006 Suzuki GSXR-1000 forks, I personally designed and CNC'd all the custom parts to accommodate that - including a complete new Billet Top Triple Clamp.
The handling is completely transformed as is the braking, with the GSXR/Tokico radial system.

For the late-model 147 HP Daytona engine, that involved a lot more than might first be apparent - complete wiring harness with ECM and instruments, airbox, full exhaust system, radiator & oil cooler and even rear fender/battery box.
I also designed & fabricated the electronics mods necessary to make the original low-fuel-level sensor (thermistor) work with the late model ECM & instruments.
The additional 40HP was definitely worth it!

Suspension:
Fox Racing Rear Shock
2006 GSXR forks (DEcosse Custom Design Billet Top Triple Clamp, Steering Stop & axle/rotor/caliper spacers)
