Decosse --- anyone

I like the looks of this product, called and spoke to Alex. Problem is I am running a 2000 955 S3 and with this mounting to the rearset I am not sure it will fit.(Designed / Tested on 06/07/08) Do any of you fine gentlemen know if this has been a change in design over the years?

Concise question:
Do any know if they have changed the mounting or location of the rearset on the Triples. Specifically 2000 to 2008. Thanks.

That exhaust looks and sounds good but I am sorry $499 is way steep for a mild steel exhaust tip with a baffle welded in it. I could make that thing myself and ceramic coat it and maybe have $200 in it. I understand the price is good compared to other exhausts but there is just not much there IMO for $500. I would pay that maybe if it were a full under tail system.

Nasty

I find it hard to believe that someone has spent all this time developing something that looks like it was knocked up in a shed, i would not put it on my pride and joy. but each to his own, just my opinion

I agree, if it were like $199-299 maybe, but I would def buy the Leo Vince exhaust for $399 any day before that thing.

Wow

Nice,

I would assume you have seen the performance results for the exhaust? Judging by the responses. Maybe it sucks I do not know but it looks better than a big chrome or carbon fiber can hanging off your bike, anything that hides the beauty of the Single Sided Swing Arm or takes the eye away from it is crap (unless of course it is riding pillion) lol.

The Recon Design

The exhaust was designed as a hooligan style exhaust. If you are looking for bling, this exhaust is NOT for you. The pipe was designed to appear quite simple; however we went though several prototypes, prior to developing a dual core system. Most exhaust on the market utilizes a perforated core heavily packed to create sound dampening and proper back pressure. By using a combination of baffles we are not dependent upon exhaust packing to create sound dampening and back pressure. The exhaust is manufactured here in the USA in small batches. We are proud to say that our exhaust is not a mass produced unit.

What Leo Vince cost $399??? Personally I like the custom dual undertail seen on their web site.

As a side note. I feel sorry for the people at British Customs. They have some really nice products and Alex has put a lot of time, effort, and money into this pipe. What does he get here but grief. Shame....

Srsly. They put in some effort, make a nice pipe, and then some twits immediately come in here complaining about price and spout nonsense about it looking like it was made in a shed. Some of you deserve a good cockpunching.

I agree.

I have spent some time with Alex on the phone at British Customs. They have been very informative and nice. They carry many exhausts for our Speedy's if this particular exhaust doesn't fit your needs. To bash something before you have seen it in person is a little disrespectful.
It may be the sweetest sounding exhaust ever. Who knows?
