Sidis are suppose to be the best motorcycle boots made but a word of warning: If you ever have to deal with a warranty issue you may as well just toss them in the trash and go buy something new. To be fair, the problem is not so much with Sidi as it is with their US distributor, Motonation.
I bought a pair of B-2s last December. In early May one of the zippers jammed while it was still on my foot. I had to use a pair of pliers to get it down far enough to get out of it. In the process I bent up the tongue on the zipper. I took them to my dealer who returned them to Motonation. I finally got them back the first of August with the same zipper but with a new tongue on it. The zipper, of course immediately jammed again.
The dealer overnighted them back to Motonation with the instructions to rush the repair as they had already had them for three months.
A month later (I guess that's a rush order for these clowns!) I finally got them back with a new zipper! But now I have a new problem: The welting around the top of these boots is fabric and after only 5 months use (and who knows how many miles in a box) it is worn through in spots. I realize that the B-2s are the budget model but this fabric is just crap.
Well, screw-em! I am just going to wear them until they fall apart and then buy a pair of Alpinestar or Tecnik or Oxtar, anything but Sidi or Set-Up (the other brand that Motonation carries)!

I love my pair of Sidi Way Tepor boots. When I ordered mine from a vendor, they in turn had to get them from Motonation and they had a hard time with them too. From what I hear everyone has a hard time with Motonation. Seems to me Sidi needs to be made aware of the problem with their distributor rather than not buying the boots. Sidi has been around for quite a few years now and they have thrived in the boot market due to quality and fit. I for one will continue to purchase the boots.

I had a pair of Vertebra Tepor boots that I got from Motonation, and wore for two years. There was a flaw in the material on the inside of the left boot right over the big toe, that would kill after a couple hundred miles of shifting. I emailed Motonation and explained the problem and said I couldn't wear them because the pain was so bad. They told me to send em back and they'd check them out. I was hoping for a repair or something, even though they were out of warranty. A couple of weeks later, I get a package back. Inside was a brand new pair of Vertigo Tepor's! Result! Props to Motonation.

If there is one thing I have FINALLY learned, it is you usually get what you pay for especially in mototrcycle gear. I bought a pair of the SIDI on roads and they are absolutely without doubt the best boot I could ever want. Totally waterproof, velcro fasteners, tall and so comfortable I can wear them as regular boots, plus they even look like regular boots. My rule of thumb is if it is cheap you'll probably end up spending double in the long run. Sorry about your experience SIDI's are excellent boots at least the higher end models.

I've been wearing SIDI's for the past 17+ years. I found they were good so stuck with them, never thought to try anything else (never needed to). Every pair have been spot on and i have just invested in a pair of SIDI Black rain EVO's for the winter weather. (not too good as a walking boot but great as a wet weather riding boot)

Nothing lasts forever but i have found that they do a fine good job in trying even in the British weather!!

SIDI gets thumbs up from me.

I was on the fence with the Sidi Canyon Gortex boots because they were $260 which was more than I wanted to pay. However, I really liked the way these boots looked so I ordered them from NewEnough since they offered free S&H. I have had them now for 4 months and they are worth every penny of the $260! They fit perfectly, look great, and offer plenty of protection.

I'm looking into getting a pair of Sidi Canyon Gore boots seeing as though my old Alpinestars are finally dying. If I'd had any nouse (and any spare cash) I'd have chucked them a long time ago, as they are an absolute dog to walk around in. The velcro gave up after about a year, the soles started flapping after two and a half and they've alwys been painful to wear all day. I will never get another pair of Alpinestars boots, but from what I can see nobody ever has a bad word for Sidis. Are they really that comfy?

Just to keep things in perspective; good riding boots represent more of a trade-off between comfort, safety, and style.

My SIDI boots, Vertigo Corsas, are definitely the best boots I've ever owned and are a joy to wear while riding. However, if I'm going to be doing any significant walking then they either come off or aren't worn. So in that case, Safety would be the top priority, style would be a close second, and comfort would be a low rating.

My old Triumph Explorer boots are are much more comfortable to wear for walking around rally areas but would probably not be as protective in an accident. I'm considering the replacement version, or an alternative.

I could see how repair work on SIDIs would be a challenge. My SIDIs are covered in replaceable parts, but zippers would be a challenge. I'd probably just take them to a motorcycle-leathers seamstress I know in Tulsa.

For those of us in the US, brands done through distributors can represent a challenge when the respective distributor doesn't have established processes in place for supporting issues like warranty work. Thankfully this isn't the case with every distributor, but it's good that we share the experiences and solutions.
