I'm a big fan of Matterhorn Model 1949 combat boots. Excellent protection for riding, supportive, comfortable, warm, waterproof, and they're also very comfortable to walk around in. You can find them online for around $170.

If you want something a little lighter weight, I also really like the Matterhorn Model 1274 tactical boot. These are sneaker-comfortable, have a great, aggressive tread for traction, and won't make your feet as sweaty on a hot day. Available online for around $80.

No, I'm not a paid shill for Matterhorn. I've just been wearing them for years.

Can't go wrong with the Oxtars. If you don't want the full length, or the price, try the Joe Rocket Meteor.

I've had a pair for about four months now and was debating between these and the Icon Field Armors or Super Dutys. The Super Duty looked too short. I'd heard the Field Armors, while looking totally bitchin', had a really thick toe that made shifting tricky on some bikes, and that it was very stiff, so I went with the JRs. They were stiff at first (they have a hard plastic armor on the sides and shin) but have broken in nicely. I wear 'em every day, even to work, where dress is "business casual."

Before that, I had the Vega Nitro touring boot.

At $70, the thing's a steal. Very, very comfortable to walk in, but wore out after a year of near-daily wear.

If money was no object? I'd get some Sidis. Probably the Canyon.

I have four pairs of mc boots in my closet, and like them all for different purposes. Included are A-stars GP series race boots for track days and very spirited riding, Gaerne all-leather high boots for sport touring, a pair of Kochmann mid=level boots that I can wear to work, and Triumph Tri-techs that have been getting the most use lately 'cause they're just cool (and more comfortable the more I wear them).

Sidi Champion Air is my new favorite...mid length and vented. Very comfortable for walking too. I've got a pair of Alpinestars Gore-Tex for cooler weather .

It's hard to find boots that look cool with street clothes. The Puma boots looks sweet but I can't find them anywhere and they are pricey. This website had a lot of boots. Click

I have the Sidi Champions, the regular ones, not the Air. They go on & off quickly and I can walk all day in them. I'm thinking of a pair of their Doha short boots for the summer.

Astars ridge boots are very comfortable, waterproof and you can walk around nicely. Wouldn't want to do any long hikes, but for easy walking they are very comfortable. They are also only about I think 9"high up the calf so you don't get the awkward feeling of a race type boot.
Ditto - very good boots (a little hot in the summer though) for a very good price.

Cyclegear is the first to stock Puma boots in the USA. I think the Bonneville is sharp. Too expensive for this old man. I now have the Frank Thomas Apollo Aqua. First season. I have used up my boots each season. Danner Police Boots have been the longest lasting but the tread is to harsh, cruiser style and laces. I feel the FT AAs serve the Thruxton ergos.

I love this boot. Support, comfort, protection and waterproof.
