Random Commuting and weekend riding Boots suggestion? (trying to decide between...)

Hey guys.

I just had some Dianese Asphalt's but i decided to take them back due to fitment and 'bulky'ness' I also didn't like how they tapered right at the back of my ankle, bugged me. Anyways......for ref.

While i was returning these looking for a replacement boot, I found some other boots I really liked but now I'm torn. I really like the Dianese Quito boots, but I feel they might not offer enough protection so I'm hesitant to pull the trigger on them. I did do a bit of searching here and I also like the Pumo Desmo's that others have suggested but i'm wondering if that's overkill for my type of riding? I guess I'm becoming more and more concerned with rolling my ankle or having my feet smashed in an *knock on wood* accident. So i was leaning towards the Puma's....but there's something very appealing about having the laces and getting a nice comfortable fit out of the Quito's.

I will also mostly be wearing either boot with jeans as i don't have any riding pants so it seems the Quito's would be more comfortable. Although it does look like i could get some jeans over these Puma's as well. Any input or thoughts, suggestions etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

Depends on how much walking around you typically do on your motorcycle trips. I do very little usually, my bike is just for fun and a few errands since I have a company car, so I plan on getting the most protective boots I can get a hold of. Sidi ST's, Dainese Torques or TRQ's, etc. Foot injuries are pretty common especially in street crashes, I can't do my job in a cast so protection is a must! Even "racing" boots should do fine under jeans/pants

Hey, So i ordered the Desmo's. Very comfy and protective. The one thing i'm missing or would like from them is a few more options for tightening up say around the ankle, or around the lower calf area. Instead of sending them back are there accessories or things out there for stuff like that? Similar to lace up type shoes where you can tighten down the fitment a bit more. Any ideas? These just zip up on the side and velcro around the calf.

Thanks.
