Riding boot

Has anyone found a decent over the ankle casual riding boot? I have serious boots, but sometimes you want one that is still safe but that you can where off the bike too, but throw on easy for a short ride. Just wondering?

Shift have some fairly stylish boots that can be worn on the bike and off.

BMW Riders boots

I can't find a picture anywhere, but I've been wearing BMW "Rider" boots for about 4 years and they're still very comfortable. They're just 3/4 slip ons with full leather, and soft leather inner pads to protect the ankles. Stylish and simple. Easier that putting on sneakers.

I bought these, and not only were they inexpensive, they're very, very comfortable. I find myself wearing them when I'm not riding...

Run at least a size big tho.

I like the Sidi Doha boots - comfortable, have most of their structural protection bits, and look casual - I don't like the waffle-stomper type boots. They wear surprisingly well for a relatively thin sole. That said, I've been fortunate in finding sales and I sure as heck wouldn't pay full retail for them.

I've used and enjoyed Tour Master Solution boots.

I've worn Doc's since the 80's. I probably have 6 pairs of various styles floating around here. Kicker boots, casual brougues, dress shoes, etc. I have been riding in a pair of traditional 8-holes, but thought I might be better served with steel toes, so I bought these:

They are a ten hole steel toed version of the classics. On sale now at Zappos for right under $100. If you like the ox-blood color you can get them for $90 US.

Even my WORST pair of Docs were worth well over $100 (if I paid that much)...they last forever, and always look good and provide above average protection with minimal effort as far as maintenance goes.

Doc's are right up there with MagLites, and original Thermos products as far as great products that do what they say they do.

I've seen Doc Martins where the sole's been ripped straight off from riding.
