Anybody have any opinions on whether the Triumph Explorer II boot is superior to the older (read cheaper $$) regular Explorer boot? Was the original before the Sympatex fabric?

or

if any of you have the regular Explorers how do you like them?

I have the explorer II boots and like them very much. Extremely comfortable, waterproof, I've worn them from 10C to 35C and the only time it's really hot is when it's 35C and your not moving...if your riding, it's very reasonable considering they are waterproof. I treat them once in a while with water repellant but they do what they're supposed too. Put 15oookm on them this season and its as comfortable as running shoes...
