Thanks mate. Perhaps I should have been a little more specific. What I'm looking for is British style 50's boots; the kind that Rockers of that era would have worn. :

I know this is a bit late getting to this one but I just bought a pair of these....

http://www.leatherup.com/p/Xelement-...oot/42015.html

and I am very happy with them. I think they have a nice retro look somewhere right in that midpoint between cruiser and sport that I was looking for. The heal is relatively low and the sole of moderate thickness. I was really trying to avoid the 'fetish wear' look of so many of the boots these days, with buckles everywhere and 2-3" lug soles. The boots do need insoles and a couple days to break in but now I wear them daily and they are quite comfortable.

Good luck

Retro style boots with a zip up the back and buckles at the top and around the heal...
Lewis Leathers make them but are very expensive but have just heard that Daytona have made a retro stye boot which looks just as good for far less money.

As the man said,Lewis Leathers are the real deal. Horrendously expensive, but the best always is. They are hand made here in the UK, and the quality is beyond belief! I'm still saving for a pair.
