Torque settings taken from Sprint ST factory maintenance manual and accessory installation sheets. lbf.in & lbf.ft conversions have been added to assist those who do not have a metric scale torque wrench.

Attachment 21981

Information is compiled into a handy reference for use in the workshop but you should verify all settings with the appropriate section of the maintenance manual.

Where notes such as "See Section 3" appear you will need to refer to the relevant se... [Read More]

This is an online calculator that will calculate and display sprocket size change results.

http://www.gearingcommander.com/

This is the second time I have posted it. I removed the first posting because many members failed to read the gearingcommander help pages and interpreted the data incorrectly. Please read the help pages before disputing the calculations.

There have been subsequent thread posts with links to it, but they are not easy to locate. This should fix that and be a conveni... [Read More]

For those of us that Keihen CS-S carbs it has been a frustrating ordeal to find any info on syncing them up, but this is how its done. Really simple!
If your idle was strong on initial install start-up, skip step #1.
1. If you have low or no idle after you start your bike for the first time after install, you have to go through the top of the carbs[it looks like a toilet cover] to access the needle jet that is set at the factory default of #4 on the clip. See illustration. Set the clip to the #3... [Read More]

OnD Fast and Easy Way to Lower the 05-07 Sprint

1) The objective is to lower the bike and maintain the stock attitude. You want to avoid lowering either end of the bike more than the opposite end.

2) Measure the front and rear stock heights from the floor and record them for future reference.

3) Loosen the swing arm pinch bolt enough to allow the eccentric hub to be rotated.

4) Using the Triumph factor... [Read More]

Took some pics during one of my "quick & dirty" jet swaps.
They may helpful to someone removing the airbox or the carbs for the first time. I should state that I am not a mechanic (or that experienced working on a motorcycle for that matter) and these pics are in no way a substitute for a shop manual.

1. Undo the fuel line from the petcock (make sure the fuel is OFF, it's on in this pic!)

This document is to help overcome some mis-perceptions and provide sound advice from those who have purchased many motorcycles in... [Read More]
