One that can admire scantily clad females in busy city centres without falling off his bike.

Yes getting her on the pillion is good but a true master would get her on his lap while riding.

Like any thing else to continuely improve on your abilities no matter how long you have been riding.

Avoidance of possible ugly encounters and not being the cause of such encounters

The best biker?????!!!!

Leather chaps and a 1/4 helmet or no helmet is what makes the best BIKER.

What makes the best motorcyclist is everything listed above .

I make the distinction between the two, I AM NOT A BIKER, I am proud to be a MOTORCYCLIST.

Good point Kory, but once you preface the word with 'skillful,' everyone knows you are talking about those bikers, you are talking about motorcyclists.

I was thinking along the same line as Kory... a skillful biker is one that can have 2 or 3 beers at every bar stop, and still find his way home after dark. I'm no biker either, and don't particularly care to be associated with (what I call) bikers. I prefer the term motorcycle enthusiast.
