In this day and age, some Yuppie will probably sue him for prejudice.

I'd say that Sturgis has many, many more posers than... whatever... anyway.

Yeah because the Yuppie is probably also a layer...

Perhaps it’s my inherent anti-social tendencies, but why would anyone take an advert out for a riding buddy? Is it considered bad form to show up for the gay pirate parade stag?

Well... hold on guys. Let's get our acronym's and put-down's correct:

YUP-pie - Young Urban Professional - Ya' know, a person could be a "Yuppie", and still be a good rider/biker, and a good guy. This label doesn't necessarily make them automatically bad people.

RUB (Rich Urban Biker) - Again, I'm not sure just being rich makes a person automatically bad, or a crappy biker. Jay Leno, for example, would fall into this acronym, but he's a genuine enthusiast, and a great motorcycle supporter.

I think what the guy writing the ad meant was "poser", or perhaps "Weekend Warrior", but maybe he was one himself?

A real put down would be say a "poser squid"? Or is that redundant? Actually, I'm not clear on the origins of "Squid". We know what it means, but whats the connection?

Now that I think of it... if you go to Sturgis, you'd see genuine varieties of all these types!

If he prefers to ride in the company of:
POOR
OLD
RURAL PERSON
He can always ask.
Will Sturgis have a little tiny nickelodeon main street Disney world type theater where you can walk in and watch "The Wild One"? Wait a minute--I take it back. That was Brando on a Triumph. Hmmm What movie would they watch? 2000 maniacs?
"Well, well, well, Looks like we got us a TRIUMPH RIDER HERE BOYS! Let's have some fun and make him drink some Earl Grey tea while he rides settin' a'backwards in the seat! Hey! what kinda candy ass seat IS this anyway!?" Here's a real seat boy! This one's called the Duo Bun Glide Lard Ass Double Wide Sofa model!"

Gosh, don't ya think most hard core Sturgis-goers know one another? A pathetic plea for a biker buddy on Craig's List is about as poser as you get.

that's a poser move to cry for a riding buddy. he doesn't know any down-ass bikers?

a real biker would pack his crap, slap his old lady, kick start his bike and bail. solo status
