When I'm on a journey I like to navigate by means of concise notes describing the route similar to those produced by Google's "get directions" feature.
So far I've read these by inserting them into the clear top of my tank bag but this isn't ideal on longer runs as I have to stop and refold the sheet(s) to keep them in view.
I have seen three bikes recently with a gadget mounted on the handlebar comprising a clear perspex cylinder, stretched, containing a pair of rollers with thumbwheels and a continuous roll of directions.
The three were all slightly different and I was not able to quiz the owners or examine them closely.
Does anyone know where I might obtain such a device? or even what would be the "correct" name for it?

Thanks for your help guys. The Touratech stuff looks good but way too hi-tec for me. It did however enable me to find exactly what I'm after at www.oldbikeshop.com.
