Run, don't walk away from this dealer. He doesn't want to order one, as he is better off selling you a bike from his current stock. Obviously, the customer comes SECOND in his Business Plan. Sadly, this "bad dealer" issue exists with Triumph, and is the extremely weak link in an otherwise great experience. On a positive note, there are significantly more good ones than bad, which may be the norm for all makes of bikes... maybe not?
Plenty of other dealers out there, and you only need them for occasional parts if you do the maintenance and warranty work yourself. If you aren't mechanically inclined, consider it a great and fun ride to visit further away dealers.
Tampa/St Peterburg Triumph I see listed as a "Platinum" dealer, an award given by Triumph for excellent service.
I'm sure there are others. This is the A#1 important decision to make, other than which Triumph model YOU want.
You can also call USA Triumph Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, and perhaps they can help?
Don't settle for less than you want, and let Triumph know if you have problems. It is the only way they can possibly improve.
Last piece of cheap advice... find a Trioumph only dealer, vs. a multi-brand. My experience is that they are more focused for obvious reasons.
Ride safe!
