Help NE Florida

I just got the Triumph Bug Tuesday.

Want a Blue/White America.

New dealer in Jacksonville says it isn't available.

What are the good dealers in NE Florida. Daytona/Gainesville???

BTW I'm new here, but first wrapped my legs around a Triumph in 1970 or so. I honestly thought they stopped making them...

Any advice on dealers is appreciated.

Tim

I don't know about up there... but around St. Pete / Tampa, there are a couple good ones. You'll find that these days, you need to find a solid dealer with a good service dept. or you'll be SOL when you get in trouble... so be wary wherever you buy.

Gainesville Dealer

I got my 07 T100 new from Streit's Motorsports in Gainesville after checking the dealer in JAX. Streit's had the best deal and they have provided good service since. Decent dealership; give them a try.

Check them out at http://www.streits.com/

D and D cycles in Pensacola. Robert McClendon, Triumph legend and his son, who ran in the Daytona 200 this year, run a great shop.
Ask for Travis...

http://www.danddcycles.com/

Just got my '07 Tiger from them, I wanted a Yellow one, not in production. They found me one in a day had it delivered to P-cola a week later, no charge.

Cheers...btw, I'm in Jax, it's a shame about Cycle Accessories. Bob was the only good thing about the place.

dealers

I bought my goodwood green from Bruce Rossemeyers Destination Daytona....you can find the triumph dealer kitty corner from the back service entrance of the harley place, can't miss it.
If you deal, avoid the big tall fast talker dude when you first enter the shop, ask to deal with Shellie Rossemeyer, she is wonderful to deal with and will give you a good price on your bike.
Hint: Always ask for some extra goodies from the accessories racks......get her to throw it in for ya.....
Hint: If and when you pick up the bike, check tire pressures and oil level and make sure the tank is full.....
Hint: If you are pre-approved (they will run a credit check on you before dealing on the final price) you can get a demo ride....
Hint: Do your homework, visit at least one other dealer and get a quote from them, work that qoute against the price she gives you explaining that the quote is several hundred bucks below what she offers, she will bend and lower the price.(don't let her see the quote, just pull it out and look at it when you feel like she won't go any lower) She may also adjust the interest rate (don't go any higher than 6%)on the loan(if you finance)
Hope this helps you

Ditto on D & D in Pcola. I bought my 08-T100 from them in April, are great people. Robert (Dink) even called me at home a couple of weeks after he put on my new pipes, jetted and dynoed the bike to make sure I was happy and everything was OK.

Run, don't walk away from this dealer. He doesn't want to order one, as he is better off selling you a bike from his current stock. Obviously, the customer comes SECOND in his Business Plan. Sadly, this "bad dealer" issue exists with Triumph, and is the extremely weak link in an otherwise great experience. On a positive note, there are significantly more good ones than bad, which may be the norm for all makes of bikes... maybe not?

Plenty of other dealers out there, and you only need them for occasional parts if you do the maintenance and warranty work yourself. If you aren't mechanically inclined, consider it a great and fun ride to visit further away dealers.

Tampa/St Peterburg Triumph I see listed as a "Platinum" dealer, an award given by Triumph for excellent service.

I'm sure there are others. This is the A#1 important decision to make, other than which Triumph model YOU want.

You can also call USA Triumph Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, and perhaps they can help?

Don't settle for less than you want, and let Triumph know if you have problems. It is the only way they can possibly improve.

Last piece of cheap advice... find a Trioumph only dealer, vs. a multi-brand. My experience is that they are more focused for obvious reasons.

Ride safe!

Love it when one uses the word "Want" instead of "Need". Most of us have cars, so do we need a bike? But like the rest of us, I "Wanted" a Triumph.
