Tagging

Guys caught tagging and for other offences that are sentenced to community work are wiping out their own tags. Lots of this senseless tagging, the cause of either boredom or whatever makes suburbs and towns alike looks run down. No more so than in the taggers own areas, a sign of a community breaking down.

Some tagging or graffiti can look really good but the mindless scrawls are an eyesore.

I think that some graffiti looks great, very creative especially on the coal carts at the railway stations.

I know for a fact that I'd pi55ed off if someone did it to my front fence though.

A tagger is no different than a dog that lifts it's leg--both marking "their territory" in a way that stinks!

That's very similar to what they do in LA.

If you catch a felony (not super violent, like murder) you'll be cleaning up graffiti.

I don't have a problem with it...

In LA, they designate certain areas for graffiti "artists" to tag legally. They even erected concrete walls in Venice Beach for taggers to do their "art"....

No gang stuff, art only...

I think that can be called "due dilligence"...
