Paintballing

As a friend of mine is getting married in a few weeks time we decided to have a day out paintballing. This is the first time I have ever been and I wasn't quite sure what to expect, all I have been told is that those little paint balls sting when you get hit. So I went prepared wearing my draggin jeans, work boots, t-shirt and an old garden shirt to thicken up the layers, you also get issued with combat overalls, hood and face mask. When all dressed up you can hardly walk let alone run through wooded areas for hours firing off thousands of rounds of marble sized paint balls.
All in all we had a fantastic day but this morning, even though I was layered up I still have some fantastic bruises to remember the day. And yes to everybody that hasn't been - They do bloody sting!

Can I ask you a question? Was it a "game" until you were being shot at and then a "game" again after each round. That has been my experience with paintball.

.. it can get fairly intense - and often the welts arent obvious till that night when having a shower.
The paintball operators here have it sussed - they charge a 'reasonable' fee to play but then empty your wallet during the game once the adrenalin kicks in and you dont care how much you spend on reloading.
Usually a few scores are settled during the game

Lee & I played paintball a number of years ago at an organized range and it was a BLAST!
