Micro Breweries

I confess: I am not overly fond of many micro brews.

I know LOTS of people rave on about them, but generally find they are not to my liking. ALso not much an ale fan.......

I DO like European lagers/pilsners and some domestic beers, like Miller Genuine Draft, Molson Canadian and Alexander Keiths India Pale Ale (the lone exception to my no ale bias.)

Also, Pacifico is pretty good too.

OK, I feel better, thanks for indulging.

No worries. Not everyone likes ales and you're correct that most microbreweries focus on ales. They're easier and cheaper to make. I don't particularly care for most mass produced beers (mostly lagers) although I do enjoy a few and I do love good lagers and pilsners but mostly the European ones. It should be noted that Guiness is enjoyed by many microbrew fans but many aren't aware that St. James Gate is the world's largest brewery. So we should be careful about our snobbery! :

And now for a Newcastle. Mmmmm, good soup! :

On the whole, I don't like to generalize.

Having said that though,

Have to say that of all the places I have been Colorado has the most micro brews. Seems that every small town has a brewery. Spend a little time and you find many a fine beer.

Try coming out to Cali.

California has over three hundred microbreweries and still growing. It's getting as popular as wineries are out here. No complaints from me.
