I think Bruce had 1 cask of wine too many - that glancing blow off the fire engine windscreen probably saved him from hitting the ground at full speed.

I think you're reading too much into it TBirdNZ, I doubt he's sophisticated enough for all those thoughts. I think Grant had it right - he's pisspot that had one too many in the wrong place

Yes, the firetruck helped break his fall and I guess that makes him lucky. Obviously his luck is limited as his lifestyle is as well :-(.
