VolksWagen's bike!

Just an artist's interpretation... do you think it would be cool to have a VW bike on the market or would you scream in terror while riping off your hair?

Honda makes motorcycles and cars, as does Suzuki and BMW. Why should it be a problem if VW did? Now I know they started with bikes, but it might be interesting to see what happens when an established auto manufacturer goes the other way!

I think Ferdinand Porsche designed one of those for Hitler in the 30s. Took the chicken strips right off his moustache . Actually, that was the hitlermobile. Think BMW did the hitlercycle:

Although Steve McQueen almost escaped on a Triumph pretending to be a BMW pretending to be a Triumph.

It doesn't look right

Aren't VW's supposed to have their engines in the rear?

It'd make wheelies easier!

VW have done good things for Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley, & Bugatti. So they've got the resources to do something good on two wheels too. Though that offering looks a bit too teutonic for my tastes.
I'm not sure that a VW badge would be the right way to market them either, as I'd be trying to distance them from the two wheeled Golf tag. & VW already has an old motorcycle marque in it's collection, NSU, which would be perfect.

Where's the oil-bathed air filter?

It has that generic SV650 look to it. But who knows, maybe VW would come up with a great bike.

Sure. Why not?

As long as they make a quality, reliable, competitive machine.

Would be great if they would make an inexpensive, easily customizable bike.

You know, kinda like the Beetle concept (only with much better relative performance).
