Quite a few biker fatalities in the greater Houston area the last few weeks.
My wife is getting nervous for me.

Any ideas as to why?

High gas prices. More people buying bikes and scooters for better gas mileage. This increases the number of bikes on the road, which increases the chances of more bikes involved in accidents...maybe.

A rash of them in the Austin area too. Many of them in the bewitching around 2am. Too much speed for conditions, driving while intoxicated are common root causes.
