Mission accomplished!

Ive not been doing a lot of riding lately, in fact I have run more miles this year than I have ridden!
All this is about to change.
I have just completed my 2nd marathon in 3 weeks.
I ran the Lochaber Fort William Marathon in 4hrs 23mins 27sec, and yesterday I ran the Brathay Windermere Marathon in 4hrs 13mins 4secs.
I was running to raise money for 'Help for Heroes' a charity that helps wounded servicemen and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq and have raised £1007 in the process.
When my legs loosen up enough to throw one over my bonnie the riding will commence!
here's me with my finisher's 'bling'.

Congratulations, I've run a few miles myself, that's quite an accomplishment. Good cause too!

That's awesome man. I can't imagine 2 marathons in 3 weeks. I know the feeling of things taking away from riding. I've got my 2nd triathlon coming up this Saturday, and at the end of July I'm going to have a running race + 2 tri's in 16 days. (Short triathlons). Good luck with any continued racing.

You beat my first (and last) marathon time by an hour.

Not bad!

Sprint1050DA,
2 in 3 weeks is nothing compared to one guy who ran the Windermere Marathon, it was his 10th marathon in 10 days, all under 3hrs 20mins, now that is awesome!
Good look with the tri's, I've always fancied trying one, problem is I swim like a brick!

Iceman,
Grant
Iceman,
Yep that my garden, although the credit must go to Mrs Gump, she's the one with 'green fingers'.
