Well, there are two schools of thought with that concept:

1. A company can release information about the model, announce that it will be coming out and perhaps the public will gain enthusiasm for the upcoming release.

or

2. A company can keep the dates and details somewhat "secret" to build mystique about the new product.

I'm not so sure that one idea works any better than the other. It would be interesting to see some research on that.

Anyone working on an MBA?

There's a thesis idea for ya...

That will be $2500, please.

To be a Vincent Rapide or Black Shadow!

(OK, I'd settle for an Egli-Vincent.)

That's the price you pay if you want to celebrate the "Fabulous Life."

I agree, the only bike I'd pay 40k for is a Vincent, not another cruiser that looks that same as every other bike with sequins on it's saddlebags, c'mon.

Or a third option: a company can "reveal" artists' renderings and mockups, then not be able to deliver for one reason or another...a la the previous new Indian engine, or the last attempt at a Norton, which should have been a neat bike at a semi-reasonable price if they could have pulled it out of the hat. That's one marketing technique you want to avoid if possible, of course.
