Great ride planning tool

I'm not a big fan of Harley Davidson, but I really like the ride planner that they have on their website.

That link doesn't work from the UK, their website does something "clever" rerouting me to their UK subsidiary who offers a page not found error

Not to take anything away from the site but I've been using mapquest for the last year as an Army recruiter and have yet to NOT be able to find where I am going. It seems to have more features built into it as well. I'll be riding up to Fort Benning GA, in a couple months for school and will be using mapquest to do it. It looks like the HD is a beta test version that is trying to capitalize off of the sucess of mapquest/google maps. Not that there's anything wrong with it.

Well, when I was on Mapquest, I didn't see the feature to export the rideplan to a GPS unit file, the option to avoid highways, or the option to add waypoints to alter the route.

Aren't you supposed to be using a map and compass? Shooting an Azimuth and all that kind of stuff.

The HD Ride Planner is new for me but I like the auto links to "Biker Friendly" hotels. I have MapSource(like Mapquest?) and a Garmin Streetpilot 2720 so I am pretty happy there, but to my knowledge MapSource has no info on the "BF" hotels.
I just don't want to get stuck some night on the second floor of a hotel with my bike parked around the corner.

StaggerLee, same here. Maybe it's a highly intelligent website that can sense a visit from an extremely pro-Triumph IP address . Acess DENIED!
