It Was Hard Not to Laugh

An friend at work stopped by my desk yesterday. He recently bought a big Harley. I think he said Road King or something like that.

He asked me if I had ever been to Thunder Beach. It is apparently a mostly Harley rally in Panama City Beach FL. Told me he went last weekend. The next sentence was the one that almost killed me. "Of course we trailered em." It takes about 5 hours to get there from here going the posted limit.

I didn't have the heart to tell him I was about to ride over 1100 miles one way to go to a triumph rally.

Yes but can a Harley go for 5 hours without breaking down? let alone 1100 miles

LoVel.... you should really have told him about your trip (casually pointing out the total mileage).... the look on his face would have been priceless....probably like a deer in the headlights.....

I couldn't go this year. It is about 2 1/2 hours from here. One of my coworkers went and took pictures (he said he took some especially for me, I wonder how far off the wall they are).

IMO, trailers should be used to transport a "dead or sick" bike only.

I really don't get that whole "fake biker" scene.

...oh well, to each their own.

harley

Yes, I think a Harley might make it 5 hours, if real new and on a trailer. might have to check the oil tho.
