Let's Have Some Ice Cream
I just stopped for gas at a local store and the entire parking lot was filled with leather and Harleys. Several riders descended upon me and we exchanged Triumph stories. One of the grittiest looking of the bunch invited me on their weekly Monday afternoon run..............to go get ice cream! Not exactly what you'd expect, and I thought that was cool (so to speak). They meet and go to a different ice cream parlor (and to eat) every week. There didn't seem like there was a poser in the group. A few veterans, some colors, some just gritty, but all nicer than Hell. Here's a shout out to 'em. (Not that they're listening, but just in case.)

Oddly enough our vintage bike club has a favourite ice-cream stop and a fish n chip run, the ice-cream stop is not too far from where I live, a fair distance for most of the club members but the fish n chip run is about a 500km round trip.
The ice-cream shop sells twice the size cornets at half the price, probably the reason we go there as we're mean sods and the fish n chip run is on the Firth of Thames which sells the freshest of fresh fish.
Just got back from a run on my AJS to two local beaches for coffee, about 100 miles (yep my AJS records in that obsolete time measurement ! )

Ride on !

Talk about mixing pleasures! I feel a quick trip to Cold Stone Creamery coming on. For those of you who live in a world with no Cold Stone, you have my sympathies. Click here to see just a bit of what you are missing...

BTW, I considered buying a large Cold Stone franchise some years ago but didn't have the guts to make the investment, and now watch their huge success in my area from the sidelines. They are seeking franchisees in the UK and Australia as well as many other countries.

I do need to get out more (or so I'm told). There are few riders in my personal life (work, friends, neighborhood) so it's nice to know I can pick up with a group of anyone. I'd stick out like a sore thumb, though with my textile riding suit. I'll have to wear my Triumph retro leathers. Gotta represent, after all.

Hey Guy, Triumph riders are supposed to stick out! Oh, not like a sore thumb though. If I were you, I'd go for it. Nothing to lose and maybe a great time to gain.
It's that time of life. A favorite spot when I ride with some hard core sport riders, is a place with homemade pies and great ice cream. Times have changed. (Marde likes to flirt with the waitresses there. Oh, not just there, if I've heard right! Jodie says hi.)

Ice cream
That's much better than hitting the bars.

I can live without a $7 ice cream cone. That's just for a single scoop. You have to take out a loan to take a family of 4 out for icecream.

I wish more Harley Riders would get Ice Cream instead of the alternative...
...with the brakes as bad as they are on those things, they don't need impared judgement to boot!
