Question What Chain Lube

Anybody got any recommendations on some good chain lube?

As my can of Silkolene lube was running out the end of last year I picked up a can of lube at a bike show but this stuff is just like WD40. I know any lube is better than no lube but I just wanna see what you guys use.

P.S
Sorry for saying the word "lube" so many times ha ha

Keep it Greasy so it goes down easy

In Austin the Triumph dealer sold me a can of Silkolene too.
My brother in law use Automatic Transmission Fluid? Makes a mess.

To give you an idea, 1050POME and myself both ride 1050 Speed Triples, with heavy duty o ring chains. He has NEVER lubed his (he doesn`t believe in it) chain and I am anal about lubing mine, every 500km`s. We are both 'wheely junkies' which means that the chains get a VERY hard life. His chain is stuffed at about 25,000km`s, mine lasts about 30,000km`s. So with a modern o ring (or X ring) chain, lubing makes a difference, but it`s not as much as you might think.

I use Bel Ray superclean, because it has almost zero fling and I like a clean back wheel. As a rule of thumb, the less fling a lube has, the more you have to use it. Which is why I lube after every 500km`s.

Has anyone ever used ZEP Aero Lube NC? Its a Heavy Duty White Lubricant with Micronized Teflon and Vydax.

It looks like it'd be great (as long as it doesn't fly off all over everything).

Cheers for the help and sorry guys for the same 'ol thread but a lot of oils get taken off the shelves or changed for a newer version and here in the damp and wet UK whatever you put on your chain gets washed off in one ride.

Haven't had my Triple a year yet and already the chain has rusted, my fault for riding all the time. I wouldn't have any other way though.

stuff

+10 on the PJ-1 Blue, best darn stuff in the world.
Wipe your chain down with a shop rag soaked in mineral spirits, dry rag it, then holding a folded in half rag behind the chain, spray the Blue on the chain as you rotate. I always put a lil piece of paper in the chain to keep my place and not overlube.
Now we can end this thread....hahahhaha

The Bel-Ray is probably the best. The DuPont Teflon is good but very watery.
