Did you name your Bike?

I have read various posts where people refer to their bikes by name (always female). So, what's your bike's name? Why?

That's easy Looty, I'll help you out. I'm sort of the unofficial "Biker Namer" around here. First thing I need to know is the exact month, date, and year you brought your baby home!

I called mine "The Sled" not sure if it is a name but just what I called my machine. I was told by a long time rider to always name your bike, that way it is not just an object but a close friend.... and to never ever under any circumstance name your bike after your wife. "You want your wife to f**k you, not your motorcycle."

My best friend bought a T100 Bonnie the same day and he name his Trihumphery, He last name is Humphery so it just worked to well together...Which led me to making this for him.

I've posted this a few times before, and for some strange reason it always goes over pretty well.
  1. Remember that your Bonnie is a British bike. Forget all of the "where's the widget really made" and the fuss about Thailand. It's a British bike.
  2. The Sun is a popular tabloid newspaper over in the UK, and they always feature a hottie on page three. As logic would dictate, they are called "Page 3 Girls."
  3. Go to "page3 .co.uk" and click on the "Archive" tab. Then find the Page 3 girl for the day you brought your Bonnie home, and that's your baby's name!
Now you don't necessarily HAVE to go with the exact girl. You can modify the name a little bit to suit your taste, or you can just go look around until you find a name you liker. Either way, it's a great way to name your bike. Or just kill a little time!

2 bikes, 2 names.

My Bonnie is called ........."Bonnie" - (Surprise!)

My Sprint is called "Sunday", because it is my Sunday bike. My Bonnie is my "Never On a Sunday" bike.

Mine's a him, and his name is Glenfiddich. Named after a fine drink and an excellent dog who used to run like the wind.
