This is a run up Tawonga Gap from 3 wks back (2 days before I crashed the Speed Triple).
One of my mates is pillioning on another K1200S holding on with one hand and the camera in the other - hence the shaking.
I was in 2nd (4000-1000rpm) for pretty much all of this run, keeping the speed down to where a bike with pillion could keep me in the frame most of the time.
Given how good a mix of sweeper and twisty this road is, (there's more open twisties that had just finished about 500mtr before we started filming) this must rate as one of Oz best 10-16km sections of road.
Enjoy, I'm off to bed before flying out to the Alice and Uluru for a week.
Very nice! Good road. That's what I would call sensible sport riding, bearing in mind that most of the corners are blind. The kind of riding I, for one, really appreciate.
I just can't believe that it's mostly a dotted centre line through most of the turns- I'd have expected double solid white lines on the corners.
Nice road. Not much traffic either.
What time did you ride?
For me Sunday is my only day to ride.
I'll usually get out around 6:30am to avoid folks coming out of their drive ways (the number one cause of motorcycle accidents on roads like these) going to church.
Compliments to the cameraman. That's excellent footage for a handycam.
The roads not too shabby either. I've never heard of it before. Where does it run from?
I'll have to include it in the peg-scratching tour of the Sth East that I'd like to do next Summer.
Thanks for sharing. It looks like it was a fun day.

Hi guys, yes Finners did a **** good job with the camera. It was also strange riding in front and having to watch my mirrors like that to keep them in view. DaveB I think my sensible riding was just so I could keep the BeEm in the mirrors and therefore me in shot
The road is the gap linking the Gt Alpine Rd from Mt Hotham or Bright across to the Kiewa valley (Mt Beauty) in the Vic High Country. Basically approx a 20km rd with 10 or so of good twisties. Here's a link to the google map of the road. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...,0.458679&z=12
