Insurance for long travels

Hi folks! I am about to leave Britain for a 3.5 months trip on my 2003 Tiger this summer. Unfortunately the insurance I bought in February (through Aquote with Norwich Union) only cover 4 weeks stay abroad at a time up till 3 times per year (I would have to come back once a month for the cover to have effect). Do anyone know of a convinient solution to this? Should I cancel the one I have and buy a new one? Or should I buy a second one for the 3.5 months only (with a different insurer if this is at all possible)? I Have talked to Aquote and they are not very helpful in finding a solution. What do people do when they go on several months travels on their bikes out of the UK?

It's been decades since i was a 'POM' but back then the AA and RAC could help, give them a call. Are you touring Europe or somewhere more exotic?

Norway

Ok, will try. No, not going anywhere more exotic than Norway. But I am planning to stay all summer since it is my birthplace. What does AA stand for?
