Their last gasp was the TSS DOHC. They should have been doing the R&D back in the 60's before the Honda 750. An E-start wouldn't have hurt either. The COOP hade no chance espescially after their rather nasty negotiatons in the mid 70's. Death of an iconic industry. I watched it happen and was saddened. BSA gone in the early 70's, Norton by mid 70's, but Triump lingered, on life support, till the plug was pulled. Quite Darwinian when you think of it. They didn't evolve in terms of work rules and technology. This is why I don't have a problem with Bloor moving production to the Far East.
