Maybe this is the answer to a new seat design

I have read many threads, pro and con, on the design of motorcycle saddle. But early this week, I ran up on a story that may solve the problem. it seems that 35-year-old Pam Babcock was co-habitating with her boyfriend, 36-year-old Kory McFarren in Ness City Kansas. The couple lived together 16 years, but the last two years were unusual in that the lovely Pam spent them sitting on a toilet seat. She had been there so long, police had to remove the seat from the toilet using a pry bar. Her skin had grown around the seat, and she was taken to a hospital where it was removed.

Ness County Sheriff, Bryan Whipple (folks I'm not making this up) is suggesting charges be filed against the boyfriend for not having notified police sooner. The incident is under investigation.

I've been giving this situation some serious consideration, and it occurred to me that, while I love my Triumphs, I doubt I could sit on them for two years, thereby allowing my legs and arse to grow around them. Maybe we should find out who manufactured this particular toilet seat and see what he could do with a bike saddle.

By the way, this is true. After reading the article, I returned home and Goggled "Woman on toilet seat for 2 years." This story appeard in Europe, NZ and all over the U.S. Google's best account came from the Associated Press.

Did you have to bring that up here? I'm still trying to get the mental image out of my head.

I know it got wide coverage, but i've still got problems with the "truth" of this story. The logistics just don't add up.
To stay alive for two years, the guy would have to given her food & drink. & lot's of it too, otherwise she'd have lost weight & freed herself. If she was so neglected that her skin was growing over the seat, she'd also have bedsores, which turn septic easily & quickly. & then there's the DVT & bone atrophy issues.
In short, I just don't think anyone could survive for two years sitting in one position.

Saw the story in my newspaper and it said that the police were thinking about charging the boyfriend, with what is anyone's guess; he did bring here food and water etc. and, according to the story, she kept telling him that she'd come out of the toilet "maybe tomorrow". If it's true, I guess you have to figure that he didn't want to call the authorities on her if he could avoid it. Two years is a long time, though. And, what could the police charge him with anyway.........aiding and abetting her "pot" addiction??...............................Sorry, I just couldn't let that last bit slip past: Jim

Jesus that guy must have been desperate for the bathroom, I know some woman can take a long time in there but 2 years is rediculous

He said later that he would have notified them sooner but he was waiting to go to the loo and only advised them when he couldn't hold on any longer.
