Sears-Triumph??

I was watching the DIY network yesterday and a Sears/Craftsman commercial came on. There was a Bonneville in it!! What is up with that?? Pretty cool.

Cool tools for cool fools?

I recall Sears sold Bridgestone motorcycles in the 60s. A friend rode one from Las Vegas to Manti, Utah every weekend to court his future wife. He still says it was the best bike he's ever owned. Somehow, I don't believe him.

Sears sold bikes badged as Allstate in the 60's. I believe they were made by Puch.

It was a tool advertisement and there were two guys staring at it with a gleam in their eye. It was up on a lift of something as if they were working on it. I thought it was interesting that they chose a Triumph and not something that is more common to most viewers eyes, unless Triumph actually spent some public advertisement money in the US.

I had an Allstate scooter that was made by Vespa. It was a dual-sport, I always rode it on dirt on the ranch! Never was road-legal. Just like my Tiger with smaller wheels....
