Been enjoying this series.

As they talk of the Ingram trail, it seems to me that it should make a great bike run in the summer. Anyone live a little closer and care to comment

In the Summer, that route is replete with Muskeg (peat) bogs, muck, lakes and mosquitos (the Alaska State bird). The Iditerod and ice trucking couldn't happen unless everything was frozen. Now riding a Triumph along the ice-road in the Winter would be a challenge!

I'd stick with the highways and proven back roads in Alaska during the summer. But there are always people adventurous enough to do such things.
