John Glenn is in the hospital, no reason was given in the article I read, but let's all say a prayer for him. I don't ask this lightly due to the fact that I'm not a very religious person. But with all that man has done for America, we sure can spend a couple of seconds praying for him.

God speed, John Glen, you captured the hearts and minds of many little kids back in 1962. remember watching the entire thing on that black & white 19 inch TV, along with the entire gang from the neighborhood. WOW, my hero, and by the way.....that was very American of you buddy. Semper Fi.
John Glenn has made his final mission and leaves behind many memories of the space program- from the early sub- orbital flights of Project Mercury to the successful Apollo lunar landings. I remember reading "We Seven"- the original astronauts story and being very taken as well with all of the early trials and tribulations. One of Mr. Glenn's team mates. Wally Schirra, was from the town next to mine in Jersey. RIP John Glenn and all of the members of the space program whose lives have passed. They captured the imagination and dreams of many people around the world and the accomplishments will always be remembered.
