I'm going to revise my earlier statement. I read somewhere that a track day nearby offers instructors that put you on the back of their bikes and bring you around the track in order for you to get a feel for what you should be doing. That, I might do!

And rndtaylor! What a guy. That offer was quite a nice jesture.

I tend to just lay there and let her do all the work while I constantly readjust my grip on her.

Wait.......you guys are talking about motorcycles. Nevermind.

What are you like as a pillion?

Who, me? About like a 275-pound sack of potatoes.

Other Motorcycle: I wish!
I have not ridden pillion for many years.
I don't like doing it as I dont feel that I have much control over my own mortality.
Having said that, if I had to again, I would.

A mate of mine refuses to either ride pillion or carry any other bloke as a pillion as he places a two testicle limit on any bike he is on.

He did ride in the sidecar of my Ural once though.

Wombat, someone once told me something similar about his Porsche.

Then he got hammered and needed to get home without getting arrested on a military post; all of a sudden he was the p(&&x# in the passenger seat.

I admit, I'm a miserable pillon. The last time I rode on back was over 10 years ago, my bike wouldn't start at a rally and I went with a group to eat. The friend who was piloting the bike threatend to make me walk back.

My son was a great pillon, I took him all over the U.S. with him on back. And on some seriously twisty roads. But once he got his own ride he said "never again" to being a pillon.
