How many Triumphs?

How many Triumphs does a rider need? Want?

Shopped and shopped and bought my Scrambler - but about went nuts over both the Tiger 1050 and the Thruxton... The Bonnie black too... A good friend bought one of the Tiger 1050's and is hooked on it. Then there's that outrageous naked 1050... Wow! A buddy got a 675 Daytona and I decided it was about perfection. Another fellow I know got the huge Rocket - and loves it for touring. Makes sense to me... Yet another buddy picked up a Speedmaster... Great looking bike!

I could see a whole stable of the doggone things. Triumph would love me. The local dealer would love me. I'd be in so much trouble...

So - how many here have multiple Triumphs? How about other bikes - like a true dual-sport or a big touring bike?

Curious. Guy

I've had 6 todate. Currently own 3. 95 Tbird had from new and much modified,so really feels like my bike. Also have a 955 Tiger fully kitted out for 2 up touring in Europe. Finally a 955 Speed Triple for playing with at weekends. This for me is the perfect combination - a bike for every mood and situation. Currently considering whether to trade Tiger and Speedy for a do-it-all 1050 Tiger with lots of accessories. Or trade Speedy for a new Thruxton as I like the look of it but it may not give the kicks of a Speedy. Triumph make a great range of bikes and the triple motor is a gem. I might just keep what I have for a while, but I am sometimes like a kid in a sweet shop.

Talking My name is Roy I am a Triumphoholic!

Resistance is Futile! It's like eating popcorn, very hard to stop. I currently have three:
1996 Daytona 1200; 2003 Tbird; 2006 Scrambler. Each is a terrific ride in its own way. If I had to downsize it would be difficult to choose. Love the one your with!

My wife says I'm addicted to Triumphs. My reply is that "Rehab is for Quitters!"

2 is a good number - '02 Sprint RS and a '68 TR6R 650 twin. Guess which one is easier to adjust the valves upon? ( also have 3 other bikes, one made in Germany in 1972)

I agree. 2 is a good number to start with. After two comes the number three, another fine number, then four and five, and so on.

All jokes aside, I'd like at least three more:

Another 955i (track bike)
an old speed twin
and one of the modern classics, probably a scrambler or a bonnie.

Maybe an S3 too, just to be more comforable on long rides.

I wouldn't mind a Sprint, like I had in NZ or a Hinkley Trophy 1200. There's a lot of great Triumph bikes...

3 Tri's for me, out of a stable of 9: A 1976 T140, a 1995 Super III and a 2000 Sprint RS, for when I want to go F_A_S_T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I keep think that's about enough, but I'd like to find an old Trident, and maybe an early TR5, and then there's that 1200 Trophy I test rode, and I know where theres a Speed 4 that's not doing much....

It's a good thing I got a big barn......................................

This is my first one but I'd love to add a D675 to the mix. Maybe an S3 or a Bonnie too. Don't think I'd own a Rocket (just don't have the room) but I'd sure love to ride one a couple times.

I have 2, a Speedmaster and a Trophy 1200. I have often asked myself which one I would sell, and I have never come up with a comfortable answer. Both bikes a great in their own right, and both are completely different. I took the Speedy out Sunday morning for about 50 miles and returned with a grin from ear to ear. Then I took the Trophy out for a similar spin, and felt the elation when I tapped into that reservoir of smooth power.

I guess I could live with only one, but I don't want to give up either one...and as long as I can afford it, I won't.

72 Norton
86 Moto Guzzi LeMans
05 Sprint

All fun to ride

I also have a bunch of project bikes I will get to one day if I can figure out how to get past my recuring dilema " When I have time I don't have money and when I have money I don't have time"
