I wish it was spring!

...or I need to invest in cold weather gear. this warming up and only riding around the block is killing me! Is it summer yet?

So I'm resigned to admiring pics of the photoshopped ride instead...

Ahhh Bothell, "Welcome, for a day or a lifetime." There are thousands of people that must have taken that sign seriously, because the place has grown beyond recognition since I lived there.

Go for the gear. I'm still in the market for a good pair of electric gloves. No glove I've tried so far has prevented my hands from turning 3 shades of blue. There are those occasional clear winter days here in the Northwest that go wasted if you can't get out. Raining and 33 degrees, however, doesn't do much to inspire me to ride.

Got any mods you can do to kill the time? Otherwise buy some cold weather gear and ride!

I'd love to be able to take a spin around the block. The ground won't be visible here till at least mid-April. Currently three feet of snow on the ground.

I am so sympathetic. Its pretty much the same here in the upper midwest. Usually the snow is gone by April 1st, still have to wait til it rains once to get the salt off the roads, I have seen snow into May a couple of times.

Things to do in the winter, these are from the bike show this morning:

This klunker grows on you, quite a nice bike.

Who doesn't wish they had one of these as a youngster.

My first bike was a 1973 version of this one. Sounded like an angry hornet but ran like a bat outta hell.

When all else fails, you can always go to the dogs.

Taken last weekend at the John beargrease sled dog races in Duluth, Mn. If you couldn't be on the bike, then being here was an acceptable alternative.

Winter is what you make of it.

Thanks, elDizzle!

I just got back from a rather cold session of cookie-sales-escorting when I read this thread, and gained a new appreciation for the clear, dry roads around here. It might get snowy tomorrow afternoon, so I made sure there was time before dinner, and ducked out for a quick 20 miles.

Cold tires make you nervous, but it's still worth it!

I imagine we passed like two ships in the night at the bike show this morning... Alas.
Felt balmy today, didn't it, given the past few weeks?
