We have an upcoming two-stage annual event. A sizeable overseas contingent, mostly from the UK, joins in the fun. The first event is at Zwartkops Raceway west of Pretoria, about 45 mins up the road from Johannesburg, followed a week later by a similar event at the Killarney circuit in Cape Town 1,400 km away.
From the UK, ex-Le Mans racer David Piper in a Porsche 917 (check the size of the steering wheel!), followed by a local lightweight BMW M635.
Local motorsport legend Sarel 'Supervan' van der Merwe in a 7 litre Ford Galaxy. This car is massive, weighs two tons & has leaf spring rear suspension!
From the UK, an extremely rare (& prbably priceless) Alfa Romeo T33.
A Chevron B16, Lola T70, Porsche RS & a Chevron B21.
